In New York, Notaries Public are “commissioned” (i.e., licensed) by the Secretary of State. Notarial functions include:

Within Manhattan: $85 for Mobile service, plus $4 per mile from the notary’s location, which includes the first notarized signature, plus $2 for each additional signature notarized.
Within Westchester and Orange Counties: $85 for Mobile service, plus $4 per mile from the notary’s location, which includes the first notarized signature, plus $2 for each additional signature notarized.
Real Estate Closing in Manhattan: $300 for Mobile service, plus $4 per mile from the notary’s location, which includes notarizing all documents.
Real Estate Closing in Westchester and Orange Counties: $300 for Mobile service, plus $4 per mile from the notary’s location, which includes notarizing all documents.
Our office is in Port Jervis, NY. If another notary from our team handles your appointment, mileage is measured from that notary’s location.

Remote eNotary
eNotarization:
New York became the 38th state to enact a permanent RON (Remote Online Notarization) system. Signed by Governor Kathy Hochul on Feb. 25, 2022, Senate Bill 7780, an update to Senate Bill 1780C, became law on Feb 1, 2023, no longer allowing remote ink notarizations (RIN) and now requiring electronic notarizations (RON).
